Nobody likes you Tenten
“Tenten from Naruto is an archetypical example [of OC Stand In]. Her brief appearances in canon provide enough character elements for fanfic writers to build upon, and yet she never even got a formal introduction. Being beaten by Temari — off-panel in the manga — is her most memorable scene. Naruto author Kishimoto admitted that she was created simply to be fill the spot of token female on Team Guy.

Edit 7/16/2012 1:24AM: Since I just realized how bad this sounds from the first reblog, I actually don’t hate Tenten. I more hate the author for making a character literally to fill a spot with no other actual importance and is, for lack of a better word, useless. But considering this is the internet and the likelihood I’ll be believed is rather low take it as you will.
